The TM250 is a comprehensive cockpit device designed for airspace surveillance in General Aviation. It integrates Mode S, Mode A/C, ADS-B, and FLARM® detection into a single unit.

The TM250 features a built-in Mode S receiver that decodes ADS-B data from other aircraft, displaying their relative position and vertical movement on the screen. It can also detect aircraft without ADS-B broadcasts and, if possible, classify them by relative altitude. Approaching targets are signaled both visually and acoustically.

Equipped with a built-in GPS receiver, the TM250 can transmit its position data via a serial interface to an ADS-B capable Mode S transponder, creating a complete ADS-B system. This enables the device to both receive and transmit position data, enhancing flight safety.

An external FLARM® receiver can be connected to the TM250 via a second serial interface, allowing it to display the position and movement direction of FLARM®-equipped aircraft. Even without a connected FLARM® receiver, the TM250 can still detect nearby gliders with FLARM® transmitters through signal strength analysis, though direction, distance, altitude, or position cannot be determined in this mode.

Traffic data received by the TM250 can be shared with external Moving Map systems via a serial interface for further visualization.

In summary, the TM250 offers a robust solution for enhancing situational awareness and flight safety by integrating multiple surveillance technologies into one device.
